Bangladesh Council for Child Welfare- BCCW was established on 14, September 1957 by some enthusiastic and veteran children organizers, first in the name of the East Pakistan Council for Child Welfare during the then Pakistan period. BCCW is now the pioneering development organization in the field of child welfare in the country.
We were the first National Voluntary Social Welfare Organization registered by the then government authority. BCCW is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political, and development organization committed to the welfare of children in general and children with disability (CWD) in particular.
BCCW is committed to working relentlessly to eradicate disability discrimination and promote an inclusive society both in the academic and work environments. Our goal is to create mass awareness about physical and mental health so individuals affected are no longer stigmatized and marginalized.
